My Lady Amala

One of my original characters, Amala

After years of drawing JUST anime and using pens, I finally took a chance at drawing using only colored pencils. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, especially because I already knew what I wanted my drawing to look like.

Details:

Hand drawn (of course), used Faber Castell pencils (grey & black for the base), and done in about 7 hours, breaks and sleep included. ;)

I really think I should develop this new style of mine. It’s waaay simpler and a tad prettier, I guess. :)

Relax, and have a great day!

Designs Inspired by Taylor S.

Back to December hair in the middle, people! :)

I have never been so inspired to draw designs for a celebrity than the day I did this with Taylor Swift in my mind. I don’t know if this is cliche or anything, but I really, really think she’s a great role model for young adults and teens all over the world. Yes, she sometimes makes mistakes, but don’t we all? Who are we to judge?

Anyway, back to the drawing.

I was thinking a sort of floral, girly dress for Taylor, and so I came up with two, the first and second designs. Don’t mind the third one! haha! Of course, I want to protect my art from thieves on the net so I only photographed half. :)

First Digital Drawing Ever

The just HAD to try and make a digital drawing! Here's no. 1.

I know it’s very messy, but it’s my first time! :) LOL! I literally spent about 5 hours doing this whole drawing, and you can still see the errors and mess I made during the process. It hasn’t been cleaned up at all, and some areas have been drawn rather lazily. :) Oh well! I enjoyed this first drawing anyway, so I guess I got something out of it.

The girl with pink hair.

Drew this about 10 minutes ago. :) Cheerios.

I had originally planned to do drawings for my link page and stuff, but my hand took a different turn all of a sudden! Haha! Now, I realized I drew something I quite like, without really planning it! It’s crazy how ideas get to me sometimes, you know? It’s like, I have this whole blue print in my mind of what I wanted to do, but every time I actually DO IT, it turns out completely different!

Should I be worried? <3 Perhaps not.

Psst… I think I just got inspired to draw a book with this as the cover and the post title as the Novel title. Hmm. :) Let’s see how this sudden inspiration turns out!

Any kind of help counts!

Every ounce of kindness and compassion is worth giving. You may not think it a big thing, but other people might see it as a sign of hope. I saw this post on my tumblr dash, and thought it would be wise to share this photo with you.

I couldn't have agreed more with this guy.

There are people in this world who have nothing good going for them. You find them on streets, abandoned buildings, under bridges or in some nook around the corner, just waiting. Waiting to have that piece of the good life. Waiting for the change they’ve longed for all their lives. Waiting for people to realize that even the smallest bit of generosity means so much to them.

And it’s true, what this guy wrote on his sign. It’s not just money that will make people feel accepted and feel good about themselves – it’s about kindness and compassion as well. Money can’t make everyone happy, though the world focuses on that so much these days. Just smiles, or even nods of acknowledgement means a lot, because you never know what the person at the receiving end is feeling inside.

Knowledge comes from the most unexpected places, as inspiration and lessons in life do. We could learn a lot from this guy in the photo.

Lunch with an Author – yes please!

We all have our inspiration. Take a look at mine.

William Shakespeare

Oh, does it have to be only ONE? Well then, I'd have to choose… William Shakespeare. His plays and sonnets AMAZE me to the bones! His style of writing has always inspired me to write and explore the written word and I bet having lunch with such an artistic person would be a great experience!

I'd ask him how he came up with the sonnets, where he gets inspiration, and how he managed to be one of the best English poets of all time. Now that would be a day worth lining up for.
